Densei-Lambda reaches preliminary agreement to sell its Auto ID business to Nitsuko
TOKYO, March 9, 2000 - Densei-Lambda K. K. (TSE 6917) and Nitsuko Corporation (TSE 6705) today announced they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Nitsuko to acquire Densei-Lambdafs Auto ID businesses.

Todayfs agreement represents a further step in Densei-Lambdafs strategy of focusing on its core, growth businesses in power systems and follows the recently announced sale of machine tools and building appliances businesses which was completed on February 21st.
Closing of the transaction, subject to due diligence, conclusion of a definitive agreement and final board and regulatory approvals, is expected by the end of April.
Densei-Lambdafs Auto ID business manufactures and sells bar code readers and IC card readers and writers.
We are pleased to announce this agreement with Nitsuko. Divestiture of non-core businesses enables us to consolidate our business resources, to implement our strategic goals and to build around our core business in power systems. We will continue to develop Densei-Lambda in order to create a profitable group that is well positioned for long-term growth.h
