DENSEI-LAMBDA
has launched MODULAR WATTBOX™ which
provides standardization of a customized power supply since 1998,
and created one multi-output power supply market. For further market
expansion, the new product Alpha
II will be released from July, this year. |
1.Market background
|
| Customer's equipment has
been advancing rapidly towards multi functions, miniaturization,
and high performance in recent years and the customer is inclined
to demand more and more for the power supply. For example, the multi
type power supply, such as the logic power supply for IC, 12VDC
power supply for a sensor system and 24VDC power supply for a motor,
has been required. For this reason, the expectation for the custom-made
power supply design in one compact package is increasing. However
if customer adopt custom made power supply solution, they will be
facing some problems like long development time, expensive design
cost, and safety standard approval. On the other hand, if customer
adopt the standard power supply solution, the miniaturization will
be limited. DENSEI-LAMBDA has developed Alpha
II to solve these problems "by combining and
providing flexible multiple output power supplies" as the motto.

2.Feature of new products
|
Alpha
II is using the patented one
transformer system as a basic building block, and customer needs are
flexibly realized by configuring ten different types of standard modules
ranging from 1.8V-56V. Alpha
II achieves 14% reduction of
components and 22% of volume by utilizing single board type module
as compared with the conventional Alpha series. In addition, more
functions are come as standard, such as the global (all output) and
local (individual output) ON/OFF control, the AUX (auxiliary) power
supply, the AC failure signal, the FAN alarm signal, etc. As an energy-saving
design, FAN and a PFC circuit will stop operation upon global ON/OFF
being activated.
Intellectual property right of 6 cases will be applied for this product.

3.Sales strategy
|
DENSEI-LAMBDA
has sold MODULAR WATTBOX™ as
a pioneer and with track record for measurement & analysis equipment,
medical equipment, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and FA automatic
equipment, etc for the past five years. New product Alpha
II further strengthens the sales to not only Japan
but also Southeast Asia and China. Sale is expected to hit 10 Million
USD for the next three years. DENSEI-LAMBDA will continue to expand
the output module series to provide more flexibility for customer.
