DENSEI-LAMBDA
has developed the high efficiency and high power density power module,
PAH300S
series. The module is designed to meet the latest requirement
and specifications of
next-generation mobile communications, such as W-CDMA and CDMA2000,
and the medium and
small-sized base stations, such as terrestrial digital broadcasting
apparatus etc. and will start the
mass-production from May, this year.

Although the tough
business climate of IT and the communication industry continues,
the development
of the equipment for next-generation mobile communication base stations,
and terrestrial digital
broadcasting apparatus has been booming. In addition to the development
for the large capacity
transmission output type which covers large area, the demand for
the medium and small capacity
transmission output type which covers blind zone, such as underground
or shadow of building and a
depopulated area, has also been increasing.

The
newest desired specification for the power supply of the next-generation
mobile communications
medium and small-sized base station is becoming very severe as follows.
- The miniaturization by
high power density of equipment
- High efficiency
which considers environment, such as an energy saving and
low heat generation.
- Wide-ranging operating temperature
which is necessary for outdoor high
or cold climate installation.
- Wide-ranging variable voltage
for using an amplifier element with more efficient voltage.
- High withstand voltage
between the primary circuit and the secondary circuit of
equipment

market, DENSEI-LAMBDA has developed
PAH300S series to fulfill the customer need. "PAH300S series"
is the first product in the world which
is meeting all these requirement. It is packed into the industrial
standard half brick size and will be on
sale from May this year. |

PAH300S
achieves top class in the industry for the following features

- High output power of 300W in Half
brick size ( 57.9(W) x 12.7(H) x 61(D) mm ).
- High efficiency of 90%. ( 28VDC
output voltage type )
- Wide operating ambient temperature
of -40
to 
100 .
- Wide output trim range of -40%
+ 18% (28VDC output voltage type).
- High withstand voltage of
1.5kVDC between primary and secondary circuit.

| 3. Sales strategy |
| DENSEI-LAMBDA, being
the biggest Japanese standard power supply manufacturer, has been
concentrating on the development of power module and its lineup.
In respond to the rapid demand of the IT and the communication equipment maker in the world, extensive
world wide sales promotion has been in place through the whole Invensys group. "PAH300S series"
is the new product developed after the released of the full brick power module "PAF700F series"
in January this year. Both products are targeting to the communication equipment maker in North America, Europe, China
and Japan. The production will be based in Malaysia (SENAI factory), with the plan of 1 billion
yen of sales for the next three years.
